That is part of what Egypt's sons possess

That is some of what the children of Egypt

Of the merits of human excellence.

Have of the virtues of human superiority

وبيان الباقي الكثير أراهُ

وبيان الباقي الكثير أراهُ

فوقَ طوفي وليس في امكاني

فوقَ طوفي وليس في امكاني

And recounting the many remaining virtues, I find,

And explaining the rest, which is plentiful, I see

Is beyond my compass and not within my power.

It above my capability, and not within my power

فافخري يا مصرُ العزيزة وأسمي

فافخري يا مصرُ العزيزة وأسمي

ببنيكِ الاماجد الاعيانِ

ببنيكِ الاماجد الاعيانِ

So take pride, dear Egypt, and rise high

So take pride, oh precious Egypt, and name yourself

Through your noble, eminent sons.

With your glorious and prominent sons

واقبلي من أبناء أختك شكراً

واقبلي من أبناء أختك شكراً

لكِ نهدي جميله كل آنِ

لكِ نهدي جميله كل آنِ

And accept gratitude from your sister's sons;

And accept from your sister's children, gratitude

To you we offer its loveliness at every moment.

For you, we dedicate the most beautiful at every moment

فضلكِ الجمّ يا خُويلةُ إِنَّا

فضلكِ الجمّ يا خُويلةُ إِنَّا

ذاكروهُ بألسنِ الشكران

ذاكروهُ بألسنِ الشكران

Your abundant bounty, O dear aunt, we indeed

Your abundant favor, oh Khuwaylah, we

Recall with tongues of gratitude.

Remember it with thankful tongues

كلُّ سوري في ربوعكِ اذ ما

كلُّ سوري في ربوعكِ اذ ما

تسأليهِ يجب بأجلى بيانِ

تسأليهِ يجب بأجلى بيانِ

Every Syrian in your lands, whenever

Every Syrian in your lands, when

You ask him, answers in the clearest words:

You ask him, responds with the clearest statement

مصرُ عندي عزيزةٌ كبلادي

وبنو مصر كلهم إخواني

وبنو مصر كلهم إخواني

“Egypt is as dear to me as my homeland,

Egypt to me is precious like my country

And Egypt's sons are all my brothers.

And Egypt's sons are all my brothers

وثنائي عليكِ فرضي ونفلي

وثنائي عليكِ فرضي ونفلي

وحنيني اليك من إيماني

وحنيني اليك من إيماني

And my praise of you is my duty and my voluntary devotion,

My praise of you is my obligation and bonus

And my yearning for you is part of my faith.”
