We brought the horses from a land at Bab

to the fortresses and the well-watered land.

They left death for them at Kazimah—

tales that make the millstone melt.

So I had seen nothing like the day of the sword, until

I saw al-Thani stained with blood.

And our horses, when we met, did away

with Fariq; and all things have an end.
