إِنif تَكُyou are ذاpossessed of قَروٍa wooden bowl وَنَجمٍand greens وَجَوزَلٍand a young pigeon
إِن تَكُ ذا قَروٍ وَنَجمٍ وَجَوزَلٍ
فَعِندَthen with اِبنِthe son of فَرّوخٍFarrukh شَواءٌroast meat وَخَردَلُand mustard
فَعِندَ اِبنِ فَرّوخٍ شَواءٌ وَخَردَلُ
If you have a wooden bowl, greens, and squab,
If you've a refuge, a star and lots of walnuts
Then Ibn Farrukh has roast meat and mustard,
Then Ibn Farroukh's got some roast meat and mustard
وَقَروٌand a wooden bowl رِقاقٌthin flatbreads كَالصَحائِفِlike sheets طُوِّيَتwere folded
وَقَروٌ رِقاقٌ كَالصَحائِفِ طُوِّيَت
عَلىaround مُزَعٍshreds of meat فيهاwithin them بِقَولٌvegetables وَجَوزَلُand a young pigeon
عَلى مُزَعٍ فيها بِقَولٌ وَجَوزَلُ
And a bowl of thin flatbreads, like sheets folded
And walnuts in thin slices like folded pages
Around shreds of meat, with vegetables and squab within.
