حمواthey barred access to عالجاʿĀlij (place name) إلاexcept علىto منthose who أطاعهمobeyed them
حموا عالجا إلا على من أطاعهم
وأجبالand the mountains of صبحṢubḥ (place name) كلهاall of them فالجرائراthen al-Jarāʾir (place name)
وأجبال صبح كلها فالجرائرا
They barred access to ʿĀlij to all but those who obeyed them,
Protect them only if they obey you
and to all the mountains of Ṣubḥ, then al-Jarāʾir.
And mountains of morning are all wounds
