The fire of longing and separation burned me
After the loss of homelands and children.

My head turned white
After it had been pitch-black.
After it had been intensely black

To bid me farewell, with sorrow and yearning plain to see,
To bid me farewell, grief and passion manifest

As she shed tears of separation's anxiety
Pouring forth with anguish and sleeplessness.
Flowing with agony and vigil

Oh what an age that assailed me
With arrows that struck the very core of my heart.
With arrows that pierced my heart's core

More polished, triumphs on the day of battle

They set me on the path of sound judgment.
They set me on the path of integrity

From a spear describing heads on the stake
