Ours are lofty fortresses of Khattian spears;
We have lofty fortresses of Khatti spears;
within them run streams from our keen, severing swords.
Within them are streams of our cleaving swords.

Whoever builds with mud-brick for fear of calamity—
So whoever builds clay walls for fear of calamity—
our swords spare us the need for mud-brick walls.
Our swords indeed spare us the need for clay walls.
