ياO بنيsons of الأَصيَدِal-Aṣyad رُدّواreturn فَرَسيmy horse
يا بني الأَصيَدِ رُدّوا فَرَسي
إِنّماonly يُفعَلُis done هذاthis بالذليلto the lowly
إِنّما يُفعَلُ هذا بالذليل
O sons of al-Aṣyad, return my horse.
O sons of prey, return my horse to me
This is done only to the lowly.
This only happens to the humiliated one
عَوِّدوهُtrain him مِثلَماjust as عَوَّدتُهُI trained him
عَوِّدوهُ مِثلَما عَوَّدتُهُ
مُقحَمَcharging into الصَفِّthe battle line وإِيطاءَand trampling القتيلthe slain man
مُقحَمَ الصَفِّ وإِيطاءَ القتيل
Train him as I trained him,
Train him as I have trained him
to charge into the battle line and trample the slain.
