أنا ابنُ ذي التقليدِ في الشَهرِ الأصَم

أنا ابنُ ذي الإكليل قَتَّالَ البُهَم

I am the son of him with lofty ancestry in the deafened month,

I am the son of him with the wreath, killer of confusion,

مَن يَلقَني يُودِ كما أَودَت إِرَم

أَترُكهُ لحماً على ظَهرِ وَضَم

Whoever encounters me loves me as Eram loved,

I leave him as flesh on the back of contraction,

أنا ابنُ عبدِ اللَهِ محمودُ الشِيَم

مُؤتَمَنُ الغَيبِ وَفيٌّ بالذِمَم

I am the son of Abdullah, Mahmoud of noble traits,

Trustworthy of the unseen and faithful to covenants,

من خيرِ مَن يمشي بساقٍ وقَدَم

From the best of those who walk on legs and feet
