وكُلُّ أَخٍ مُفَارِقُهُ أخوهُ

وكُلُّ أَخٍ مُفَارِقُهُ أخوهُ

لَعَمرُ أَبيكَ إِلّا الفَرقَدانِ

لَعَمرُ أَبيكَ إِلّا الفَرقَدانِ

And every brother will be parted from his brother—

Each brother's parting from his brother,

By your father's life—except the two Farqad stars.

By thy father's life were naught but ruin's path!
