May God bless her phantom, a visitor drawing near!

If the Exalted visited in His imagination

If only it had visited as one awake would visit!

As the wakeful visit in their vigils

لو كان عرج أو تعلل ساعة

لو كان عرج أو تعلل ساعة

حتى نسائله عن الأوطان

حتى نسائله عن الأوطان

If only it had stopped by, or lingered a while,

If He ascended or lingered for an hour

So that we might ask it about the homelands.

That we may ask Him of homelands

كفان شيدتا بناء محامد

كفان شيدتا بناء محامد

لمهذب هش أخي إخوان

لمهذب هش أخي إخوان

Two hands raised an edifice of praiseworthy deeds

Enough, you have built structures of praise

For a refined, genial man, a brother to his companions.

For the gentle, modest brother of brethren

تلقى له دعة الكهول وحلمهم

تلقى له دعة الكهول وحلمهم

وتقاهم وحلاوة الفتيان

وتقاهم وحلاوة الفتيان

You find in him the serenity of mature men and their forbearance,

You find in him the calm of elders and their wisdom

And their piety, and the sweetness of young men.

And their piety and the sweetness of youth
