How lovely are al-Amin’s three sons—
How dear are al-Amin’s three sons,
the heart’s fullness and the eye’s delight!
filling the heart, and a delight to the eye!

And I beheld the loveliest beauty I had ever seen:
And I saw the fairest in beauty I had ever seen:
a moon making a third with those two brothers.
a moon joining those two brothers as a third.
