ويأتيكم على بعدي وقربي

And whether I am far away or near, there comes to you

And there will reach you, whether I am far or near,

the peace of God, from a heart free of rancor.

God's peace from a sound heart.

وليس يذم أهل الفضل عندي

وليس يذم أهل الفضل عندي

إذا عذروا سوى الرجل الذميم

إذا عذروا سوى الرجل الذميم

In my eyes, none censures people of virtue

And in my view, none reviles people of merit

when they stumble, save the ignoble man.

When they are excused, save a despicable man.
