لبس البهاء بسعيك الإسلام
وتجملتand became adorned بفعالكby your deeds الأيامthe days
وتجملت بفعالك الأيام
Islam has donned splendor through your striving.
And the days have been adorned by your deeds.
فقتyou surpassed الملوكthe kings فضائلاًin virtues وفواضلاًand in bounties
فقت الملوك فضائلاً وفواضلاً
وعزائماًand in resolves عزتwere exalted فليسso they are not ترامattainable
وعزائماً عزت فليس ترام
You have surpassed kings in virtues and bounties,
And in resolves so exalted they are beyond reach.
خطبواthey wooed العلاءglory وقدwhile already بذلتyou offered صداقهاher dowry
خطبوا العلاء وقد بذلت صداقها
فنكاحهاso marriage to her إلاexcept عليكfor you حرامforbidden
فنكاحها إلا عليك حرام
They sought glory’s hand, while you have already offered her dowry;
So marriage to her is forbidden to all but you.
