وبخصره وبردفه وبساقه
And a slender man flaunted his neck before me,
His cheeks glow with youthfulness
and his waist, his rump, and his leg.
His waist, hips and legs allure me

كتخوف المعشوق من عشاقه
He came to me, his heart fearful,
He came to me, his heart filled with apprehension
as a beloved fears his lovers,
Like a lover fearing his admirers

Until I drew him near and removed
a rump permitted to be unbound after being tied,
The permitted garb after our separation

stenches from his anus reached me,
He turned to me, his back exposed
unlike the scent that had wafted from his collars.
Unlike what had emanated from his collar

So I answered him, ‘What is this?’ and he said in anguish,
I asked him, what is it? He said with burning grief
and his tears streamed from the corners of his eyes:
His tears flowing from his eyes’ corners

“This Ibn Bistam came to me at night,
This is Ibn Bastaam who came to me invading
with his subtle ruse and smooth hypocrisy.
With his subtle cunning and feigned sincerity

And he mounted my rump and coated my hole with phlegm,
He climbed onto my shoulder and pierced my aperture
with his drool streaming from the corners of his mouth.
With his spear flowing from his mouth

زمناً لحاه الله بعد فراقه
So the stench of his saliva lingered in my hole
So the marks of his blows remained in my aperture
for a time after his departure—may God curse him!
For a time, may God erase them after our parting

So may God deprive him of his livelihood, just as
May God forbid him his livelihood as he has blocked
he has blocked my hole's earnings with his spit.”
