Whose ancient campsite ruins are these at Dhū Khiyam?
For whom is a ruined abode in an ancient encampment
They gleam as though their remnants were tattoos.
Appearing as if the rest of it is tattoos

Like a thick-necked, tawny lion among the lions of Karāʾ,
As if overcome by the lions of a meadow of roses
at whose nose-peg the cruel man tugs.
A grim man leads away its fleeing prey
