أَمسىwas by evening مُقيماًremaining بِذيat Dhū العَوصاءِal-ʿAwṣāʾ صَيَّرُهُhis final resting place
أَمسى مُقيماً بِذي العَوصاءِ صَيَّرُهُ
بِالبِئرِin the well غادَرَهُleft him الأَحياءُthe living وَاِبتَكَرواand they set out at dawn
بِالبِئرِ غادَرَهُ الأَحياءُ وَاِبتَكَروا
By evening, his final resting place lay at Dhū al-ʿAwṣāʾ,
He stayed the night in Al-Awsa
in the well; the living left him and set out at dawn.
Beside the well, abandoned by the living, who denied knowing him
