And you were a worthy nephew, the day our dwellings
You, the son of the sister of truthfulness, on the day when our houses
Were at Kutlah, when the tribes marched against us,
Were all small, when the tribes marched against us,

Among a clan who, when told, “Depart! You have been attacked!”
In a district, if it were said 'Be ready,' would stand, with no cartridges returned against them.
Stood firm, and no sword-belts were cast back upon them.
