يَعِبنَthey (feminine) disparage مَوتاهُمُtheir dead بِأَحيائِهِمon account of their living
يَعِبنَ مَوتاهُمُ بِأَحيائِهِم
كَماjust as يُعابُis disparaged الحَيُّthe living person بِالمَيّتِon account of the dead person
كَما يُعابُ الحَيُّ بِالمَيّتِ
They disparage their dead on account of their living,
Their deaths lament their lives
just as the living are disparaged on account of the dead.
As the living are blamed for the dead
قَولُكُمُyour words زورٌfalsehood وَقَوليand my words لَكُمto you
قَولُكُمُ زورٌ وَقَولي لَكُم
يَبقىendures بَقاءَthe endurance of الجَبَلِthe mountain المُصمَتِsolid
يَبقى بَقاءَ الجَبَلِ المُصمَتِ
Your words are falsehood, and my words to you
Your words are lies while mine to you
endure as the solid mountain endures.
Remain like a silent mountain’s stay
