My wife has taken to imputing sins to me;
My wedding night accuses me of sins
And my sin in her eyes is the sin of a man of little means.
Though to her my sin is that of the wretched
تُرينيshe shows me الدَلَّcoyness عَمداًdeliberately وَهوَand it is فَركٌaversion

She deliberately shows me coyness, though it is aversion;
She shows me the bucket though it is empty
And far indeed is a wife who loathes her husband from one who plays coy.
Alas, the empty can never satisfy
