Death strove to sow misgivings over you,
then increased until it passed beyond all mere doubting.
then went farther, beyond the bounds of mere misgiving.

Shall I seek those whom Death has carried off?
A futile quest, by your life, that would baffle even a physician.
Vain toil, by your life, that has baffled the physician!
