    Say to calamities, 'Lay down your arms: he has protected

    my flock and made me safe—Abu al-Khattab.'

    And indeed I have placed my hope in you, and never have

    my striving and my quest been directed to anyone but you.

    O you who clothe me in blessings whose raiment has grown old,

    renew for me the freshness of the robes.

    فَأذَن فَإِنّي واقِفٌ بِالبابِ

    The house of high honors—you are its entrance gate;

    so grant me leave, for I stand at the gate.
