I erred in stopping at a ruin,
I slipped in my stance upon ruins
Timeworn—so who will excuse me for my error?
Of a home, so who will pardon my stumble?

When I contemplated the ugliness of its form,
When I examined the ugliness of its image
I turned back, weeping blood over my hope.
I returned weeping blood over my hope

A face like the blade of a polished sword
Beauty, and a nose like a camel’s withers.
And a nose like the hump of a camel
