O full moon, I have nothing

from you but keeping watch over the stars.

    Your drunken eyelids are riot-

    ous, with many foes.

Their drunkenness comes only from what

your mouth holds of the daughter of the vines.

Had I tasted the wine of your dark lips, I would not

be lamenting the length of my sorrows.

Love for you has moved hearts from

the rule of the particular to that of the universal.
