إِنif قُطِطناwe are trimmed لَمnot يَكُنbe نَدَمُregret
إِن قُطِطنا لَم يَكُن نَدَمُ
قَدsometimes يُقَطُّis trimmed الشَمعُthe candle وَالقَلَمُand the pen
قَد يُقَطُّ الشَمعُ وَالقَلَمُ
If we are trimmed, there will be no regret:
The candle and the pen are sometimes trimmed.
فَيُرىso is seen منfrom قَطِّtrimming ذاكَthat one سَناًradiance
فَيُرى من قَطِّ ذاكَ سَناً
وَتُرىand are seen منfrom قَطِّtrimming ذاthis one حِكمُwise sayings
وَتُرى من قَطِّ ذا حِكمُ
So from trimming that one, radiance is seen,
And from trimming this one, wise sayings are seen.
