You abandoned me to the pain of rejection, and slept, heedless of

And when the singer sings and his song brings delight

transports me while my torment and grief remain

تُمسينَ مِن أَلَمِ الفِراقِ سَليمَةً

يا هَذِهِ وَأَبِيتُ غَيرَ سَليمِ

يا هَذِهِ وَأَبِيتُ غَيرَ سَليمِ

You pass the evening untouched by the pain of separation,

You spend the evening safe from the pain of separation
