تقدِّرُ أني أَعْذِرُ الخِلَّ في الغدرِ
You acted treacherously; when your treachery came to light, you came to me,
You betrayed me, and when your betrayal was clear, you came to me
Supposing I would excuse a close friend for treachery.
Expecting I'd excuse a friend for their deceit.
فلاso do not تلتمسْseek عُذراًan excuse فسلتُfor I am not (apparently a typo for فلستُ) بعاذرٍone who excuses
فلا تلتمسْ عُذراً فسلتُ بعاذرٍ

أخاً عُذْرُهُ يحتاجُ عندي إلى عُذْر
So seek no excuse, for I am not one to excuse
But do not seek my pardon. I have had enough excuses.
A brother whose excuse, to my mind, needs an excuse.
A brother who needs excusing is himself in need of pardon.
