أَنعمانُO Nuʿmān قدindeed ألقيتَyou have cast خَلفكbehind you حاجتيmy request
أَنعمانُ قد ألقيتَ خَلفك حاجتي
فلاso not أنتyou تقضيهاyou fulfill it ولاand not أنتyou تستعفيyou ask to be excused
فلا أنت تقضيها ولا أنت تستعفي
O Nuʿmān, you have indeed cast my request behind you;

وَمِنْand from أينwhere لاnot يُلقىcasts الحوائجَthe requests خَلفَهbehind him
وَمِنْ أين لا يُلقى الحوائجَ خَلفَه

مَنِ اعتادَ أن يقضي الحوائج من خلف
