أساكنةَ القبرِ السلوُّ محرمٌ

علينا إلى أن نستوي في المساكن
O dweller of the grave, solace is forbidden
Dwellers of the grave, peace be upon you,
to us until we are equal in our abodes.
We are forbidden from you until we equal in dwellings,
لئنif indeed ضُمِّنَhas been entrusted with القبرُthe grave الكريمthe noble كريمتيmy precious one
لئن ضُمِّنَ القبرُ الكريم كريمتي
فأكرمُthen the noblest مضمونٍcharge وأكرمُand the noblest ضامنkeeper
فأكرمُ مضمونٍ وأكرمُ ضامن
If indeed the noble grave has been entrusted with my precious one,
If the grave contains my generous beloved,
then she is the noblest charge, and it the noblest keeper.
Then most generous is its contents and its host.
