نلتَmay you attain فيduring ذاthis الصيامthe fast ماwhat ترتجيهyou hope for it
نلتَ في ذا الصيام ما ترتجيه
ووقاكand may He protect you الإلهGod ماwhat تتقيهyou guard against it
ووقاك الإله ما تتقيه
May you attain during this fast what you hope for,
In this fast you attained what you hoped for
and may God protect you from what you fear.
And God protected you from what you feared
أنتyou فيamong الناسthe people مثلُlike ذاthis الشهرthe month فيamong
أنت في الناس مثلُ ذا الشهر في
الأشهرthe months بلrather مثلlike ليلةnight المقدرwhat is decreed فيهwithin it
الأشهر بل مثل ليلة المقدر فيه
Among people, you are like this month among
You are among people like this month among
the months—rather, like the Night of Decree within it.
Months, nay like the Night of Power among them
