تجدِ المحبَّ بِعِبءِ لومِكَ ناهضاً
However much you oppose me with reproaches over him,
No matter how much you blame me
you will find the lover shouldering the burden of your blame.
You will find love bearing the burden of your blame

You condemned my grazing of him altogether, after
After befriending others
finding someone other than me had already grazed him when newly sprouting.
You denied caring for me entirely

لطريقها المسيورِ قبلي خائضا
Would I have plunged into a deep sea had I not found
Have I ever pioneered a difficult path
someone who had plunged along its traveled path before me?
Without finding someone preceding me as pioneer

I was the colt’s master before he was touched
I was the master of the steed before the bridle restrained him
by the bridle’s curb, and you were the trainer.
While you were simply the rider
