ماhow أَحْسَنَgood الموتَdeath معwith الفقرِpoverty
ما أَحْسَنَ الموتَ مع الفقرِ
ماno ساترٌcovering أسْتَرُmore concealing منthan قَبْرِa grave
ما ساترٌ أسْتَرُ من قَبْرِ
How welcome death is amid poverty!
How beautiful is death with poverty
No covering conceals better than a grave.
No cover covers better than a grave
أوْلَيْتَنِيyou have granted me يُسْراًease فلاso do not تَبْلُنيafflict me
أوْلَيْتَنِي يُسْراً فلا تَبْلُني
ياO ربِّmy Lord بعدَafter اليُسْرِease بالعُسْرwith hardship
يا ربِّ بعدَ اليُسْرِ بالعُسْر
You have granted me ease, so do not afflict me,
You gave me ease so do not afflict me
O my Lord, with hardship after ease.
Oh Lord, after ease do not give me hardship
