  1. أرى الليلَ صُبحاً لدى ناظري

    لأنيَ في الليلِ ألقى الأميرا

    The night looks like morning to my eye,

    for at night I meet the emir.

  2. فيا ليتَ ذا الصبحَ ليلاً يدومُ

    فكنتُ أستديمُ لديه السُّرورا

    Oh, if only this morning were a night that endured,

    then I would prolong my joy in his presence.
