Do not weep over a vanished dwelling, nor a ruined site.
Do not weep for a past that is gone, nor describe a she-camel or camel,
Nor describe a she-camel or a male camel.

From the hand of a cupbearer who outshines the branch of the
Eyeliner that its lover did not see,
Bān tree when he bends or stands upright.

Kohl-eyed, his lover has never seen him
When the bartender served me wine, it made my eyelids flush red with shyness,
Without seeing him wearing magic as kohl.
And made my cheek blush with embarrassment.

By my gaze; then his cheek reddens with shyness.
