مُبنٍّpersisting ليسnot يؤذِنُنيit notifies me ببينِof departure
مُبنٍّ ليس يؤذِنُني ببينِ
Many a house have I spent the day in, amid the clamor of dripping rain—
And a house where I spent the day amid the clamor of dripping—
dark and overwhelming, giving me no warning of departure.
Unceasing, giving me no notice of departure.

بكى هو للسماءِ بألفِ عين
When the sky wept for it with a single eye,
When the sky weeps for it with one eye,
it, in turn, wept for the sky with a thousand eyes.
It weeps for the sky with a thousand eyes.
