وَلِلسُّقّاطِ أمثالٌ فمنها

تمثُّلُهم لَدى الشّيءِ المُريبِ

تمثُّلُهم لَدى الشّيءِ المُريبِ

And the riffraff have proverbs; among them

is one they quote when faced with something doubtful:

إذا ما كُنتَ ذا بولٍ صحيح

إذا ما كُنتَ ذا بولٍ صحيح

ألا فاضرِبْ بهِ وجهَ الطَّبيبِ

ألا فاضرِبْ بهِ وجهَ الطَّبيبِ

“If your urine is healthy,

why, then strike the physician's face with it!”
