The tongue of lofty honor speaks through your own,
The tongue of lofty honors speaks through your tongue.
and morning’s face shines by the light of your judgment.
And morning's face shines from the face of your judgment.
وكمand how many فتحتْopened كَفَّاكَyour two palms منof بابِa gate سُؤْدَدٍeminence

How many a gate to glory your two hands have opened,
And how many a gate of eminence your two hands have opened,
though its lock stays shut to everyone but you.
Whose lock is shut against everyone but you.

May you go on rising through noble deeds to a height
So may you ever rise in noble virtues to a height
before which Time lowers its gaze and bows its head.
Before which Time lowers its gaze and bows its head.
وهنِّيتَand may you be congratulated مولوداًa newborn غداbecame اليمنُgood fortune مقبلاًadvancing

And blessings on a newborn! Good fortune has come advancing,
And congratulations on a newborn: good fortune has come advancing,
trotting to you with glad tidings of him, then racing on.
Trotting toward you with glad tidings of him, and striding swiftly.

You planted his father before him, and now have planted him;
You planted his father before him, and planted him too;
the planting of noble virtues bears fruit, its bough in leaf.
And the tree of lofty honors bears fruit on its bough and puts forth leaves.
تفاءَلْتَyou saw a good omen إذwhen سميتهyou named him بمظفَّرٍas Muzaffar ('victorious')
لعلمكbecause of your knowledge أنthat الفألَthe good omen فيهin him سَيَصْدُقwill come true
You took a good omen when you named him Muzaffar—“Victorious”—
You saw a good omen in naming him Muzaffar,
knowing that the omen in him would come true.
Knowing that the omen would come true in him.

Never have I seen the likes of those faces, robed
So I have never seen faces like these, robed
in khalūq perfume, as though Time itself were anointed with it;
In saffron perfume, as though Time itself were anointed with it;

Nor any like the lords, when he was among them,
like a full moon risen amid glittering stars.
Like a full moon appearing among glittering stars;

Nor have I seen the like of the happiness that met him,
Nor anything like the happiness you have found,
with which a blessed, favoring Fortune gifted you.
Which happy, favored fortune has bestowed upon you.
