Time has gifted us peaches,

an elegant sight to behold.

م كلِّ مخصوصةٍ بِحُسنٍ

معناهُ في مثلها دقيق

معناهُ في مثلها دقيق

[Of] each one endowed with a beauty

whose essence in such fruit is subtle.

ملساءُ مصبوغةٌ تولَّى

ملساءُ مصبوغةٌ تولَّى

صِباغَها صابغٌ رفيقُ

صِباغَها صابغٌ رفيقُ

Smooth and dyed; in charge

of its coloring was a skillful dyer.

صفراءُ حمراءُ مستفيدٌ

بهجتَها التبرُ والعقيقُ

بهجتَها التبرُ والعقيقُ

Yellow and red; borrowing

its splendor are gold and carnelian.

ذاتُ أَديمين ذا بهارٌ

ذاتُ أَديمين ذا بهارٌ

لمجتليه وذا شقيق

لمجتليه وذا شقيق

With two skins: one a yellow oxeye blossom

to its beholder, and the other a red anemone.
