ياO نافِخَblower of الجَمْرةِthe ember مُستعجِلاًhastening
ليُذكيَso that he might kindle الجَمْرthe coals فأذْكاهُand so he kindled it
O blower of the ember, hastening
to kindle the coals—and he kindled them—
مُهَيَّأًreadied فاهُhis mouth لهاfor it مِثلَlike ماthe way that
هَيَّأَhe readied إِذْwhen قَبَّلَنيhe kissed me فَاهْhis mouth
his mouth readied for it, just as
he readied his mouth when he kissed me.
لستI am not أريدwanting الطيبَperfume رَيَّاكَyour sweet breath قدalready
أغنَتْhas sufficed عنِin place of الطّيبperfume رَيَّاهُhis sweet breath
I want no perfume; your sweet breath has already
made perfume needless—his sweet breath.
