A bough, upright and swaying,

One part of him matches another in beauty,
Some parallel in beauty to others
Yet he has no equal.
But none can parallel it

Then his mustache serves as its embroidered border.
Its drinker is like an embroiderer

One who scorns and mocks at the mention of the sun.
Wilting when the sun is mentioned

He requites those who court him with rejection,
Continuing with rejections, its pursuer
Except me—may my soul ransom him, what a requiter!
Would that my soul ransom it from any pursuer
