إذاif ماemphatic particle استحلَّdeems lawful الدهرُTime ظُلميwronging me فإننيthen indeed I
إذا ما استحلَّ الدهرُ ظُلمي فإنني
جديرٌentitled بألاّnot to أجعلَI place الدهرَTime فيin حِلِّabsolution
جديرٌ بألاّ أجعلَ الدهرَ في حِلِّ
If Time deems wronging me lawful, then I
If time should sanction my oppression, then
am entitled not to absolve Time.
