    O gazelle of the house of Manīʿ,

    let loose the reins of slumber.

    al-Jinān—what dwellings!

    Where the hills are clothed

    in every wondrous kind of growth;

    when the east wind compels it

    to prostrate itself after bowing,

    نُّ كاستنانِ الخليع

    like the frolic of a libertine,

    وبين بَرْقٍ لموع

    between throbbing thunder

    and flashing lightning,

  14. رأيتَ منّا صنيعاً

    you see a deed of ours

    surpassing every deed.
