His existence and lineage were ennobled by his father

Ministers whose honor graced every platform

So time became for our house
a refuge, and for our enemies a crimson death.
A refuge, and for enemies a red death

A gallant man, he followed al-Siddiq in his firm resolves,
The faithful friend lamented in his resolves
when Islam's bonds had come undone.
When Islam's ties were severed

The tyrants' fire grew dark and met
a sea dragging seas of armies in its wake.
A sea drawing oceans of armies

O people of Pharaoh, are fabricated words!"

through his beauty—may his summits ever stand high.
With his beauty, still raised to the highest rank

The wind of acceptance did not abate, and sang
radiant verses of praise for you, then breathes the scent of ambergris.
The lushness of praise for you, and it diffused ambergris

Were it not for consolation in the generous and the mention of them
I would have perished from my grief over what has befallen.
I would have perished from my regret over what had occurred

By God, O night traveler toward their dunes,
By God, O you who traveled to their dunes
on a well-built steed that sets out at dawn, taking the earth as its bed,
With his favorite horse spreading out in the land

He gallops and thunders like the clouds, imagine him
offering from both corners of its mouth a pouring rain.
Bringing heavy rain from his two cheeks

And see the pottery miraculous and gushing

And if you want the villages of the generous then stand at
the house of Ibn Fakhr, for it is the most generous in creation.
The house of Ibn Fakhr, for it is the most generous in the land

That is he at whose door petitioners come to life
He who gives life to the destitute at his door
at once, even if they have tasted crimson death.
Even if they have tasted red death

They stand beside his dwellings, as though
They stand at the edge of his meadows as though
his houses had become a gathering-place for generosity.
His courtyards for generosity have become a resurrection ground

So he shades them with his tenderness, showing compassion,
He shelters them in his affection, inclining toward them
and from his bounty flows water in abundance.
And from his stream pours copious water like Kawthar

Since the tyrants' fire darkened over them
he became coolness against it, and grew radiant.
It has become for it cold, and in the morning a river

And their swords would have watered the lowlands red

They would be unveiled and their glass broken
