غَدا فتيا دَهرٍ ومَرَّ عليهمُ

غَدا فتيا دَهرٍ ومَرَّ عليهمُ

نهارٌ وليلٌ يَلحقانِ القرائِبا

نهارٌ وليلٌ يَلحقانِ القرائِبا

Time’s two youths set forth and passed over them—

Tomorrow a youth of time has passed over them

day and night, overtaking kinsfolk.

A day and a night chase each other

إذا لَقيا حَيّا جميعا بغبطةٍ

إذا لَقيا حَيّا جميعا بغبطةٍ

أناخَ بهم حتى يُلاقُوا العَجائِبا

أناخَ بهم حتى يُلاقُوا العَجائِبا

Whenever together they encountered a tribe in good fortune,

When they meet, all alive and happy

time encamped among them until they met with strange happenings.

It anchored them until they encounter wonders
