ولَقد أرجِّلُ لمّتي بعشيةٍ

ولَقد أرجِّلُ لمّتي بعشيةٍ

للشَربِ قبل سَنابكِ المُرتاد

للشَربِ قبل سَنابكِ المُرتاد

And indeed I comb my locks at evening,

In evenings I halt my she-camel at drinking-places,

for the drinking companions, before the scout’s hooves.

Before the tents of the oft-traveling maidens;
