إِذا لم تبقَ سائمة يَقينا
The daughters of time do not fear drought,
Daughters of fate fear no refuge
When, for certain, no grazing beast remains.
When the everlasting oasis remains no more

They pierced the earth, uncovering the waves of a sea,
They tore through earth in waves seeking
They sought its flowing water until they drank their fill.
Its spring until we were quenched

It is as though their heads, on a windy day,
As though their locks in a windy day
Were co-wives tugging one another by their tresses.
Were shawls blown as they walked
