شَديدُ وَهص قَليل الرَهصِ مُعتَدلٌ
بِصَفحَتَيهِon his two flanks مِنَfrom the الأَنساعِharness straps أَندابُscars
بِصَفحَتَيهِ مِنَ الأَنساعِ أَندابُ
Strong in his tread, little prone to hoof bruising, well proportioned;
On his two flanks are scars left by the harness straps.
مِنfrom صَوبِthe downpour of سارِيَةٍa night cloud عُلَّتwas followed بِغادِيَةٍby a morning shower
مِن صَوبِ سارِيَةٍ عُلَّت بِغادِيَةٍ
تَنهَلُّit pours حَتّىuntil يكادَit almost الصُبحُthe dawn يَنجابُis revealed
تَنهَلُّ حَتّى يكادَ الصُبحُ يَنجابُ
From the downpour of a night cloud, followed by a morning shower,
It pours until dawn is almost revealed.
