They killed Husayn, then they mourn him.

Indeed, time has many turns for its people.

May the slain, abandoned at al-Taff, never be lost,

And may the rains water the resting places of their skulls.

The Dajjal's troops beneath his banner are not

More astray than those whom al-Mukhtar deceived.

    يُجلَ الغُبارُ وَأَنتُم أَحرارُ

    O sons of Qasiyy, bind your Dajjal fast;

The dust will clear while you remain free men.

If your brother had knowledge of the unseen,

The rabbis would have yielded to you through it.

And it would have been a matter known among us in times past,

    Brought by tidings and reports.

I do indeed hope that your revelation will be disproved

By spear-thrusts that split your staff, and by siege.

And men will come upon you, their swords seeming

Like fire in their palms beneath the cloud of dust.

They will not turn back when they meet you,

Until your champions' skulls lie in fragments.
