جَزى اللَهُ عَنّا وَالجَزاءُ بِكَفِّهِ

جَزى اللَهُ عَنّا وَالجَزاءُ بِكَفِّهِ

عُمارَةَ عَبسٍ نَضرَةً وَسَلاما

عُمارَةَ عَبسٍ نَضرَةً وَسَلاما

May God reward on our behalf—and recompense is in His hand—

May God repay us, and repayment is in His hands,

ʿUmāra of ʿAbs with radiance and peace.

For having made ‘Abs prosperous, flourishing, and peaceful.

هُوَ المُشتَري مِن طَيِّءٍ بِخَميسِهِ

هُوَ المُشتَري مِن طَيِّءٍ بِخَميسِهِ

خُمَيسَ بنَ بَدرٍ رَجعَةً وَتَماما

خُمَيسَ بنَ بَدرٍ رَجعَةً وَتَماما

He is the one who ransomed from Ṭayyiʾ, with his army,

He is the purchaser from Tai’ of its Khumais,

Khumays son of Badr, securing his complete return.
