وَقَدand indeed تَخِذَتhas made رِجليmy foot إِلىat جَنبِthe side of غَرزِهاher stirrup
وَقَد تَخِذَت رِجلي إِلى جَنبِ غَرزِها
نَسيفاًa worn patch كَأُفحوصِlike the nesting hollow of القَطاةِthe sandgrouse المُطَرَّقِtrodden down
نَسيفاً كَأُفحوصِ القَطاةِ المُطَرَّقِ
And my foot has made beside her stirrup
A worn patch like the sandgrouse’s trodden nesting hollow.
