عَرَفتُ لأَِصحابِ النَجائِبِ حِدَّةً
إِذاwhen عَرفواthey recognized ليin me فيin العُصورِages الأَوائِلِearlier
إِذا عَرفوا لي في العُصورِ الأَوائِلِ
I recognized fierceness in the owners of noble camels,
I knew the keenness of the owners of graves
When they recognized mine in earlier ages.
